About Us

Victory Through Sacrifice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the physical and mental well-being of Veterans and First Responders. We believe that healing happens through connection, movement, and purpose—and that no one should face the challenges of service-related trauma alone.

Our approach is holistic and collaborative. We unite licensed therapists, medical professionals, physical therapists, and certified trainers to provide steeply discounted services. When cost is still a barrier, we cover care through private donations—ensuring access to support without adding financial strain.

What makes VTS different is not just the range of services we offer, but the way we integrate them. From trauma-informed counseling and performance rehabilitation to red-light therapy, strength coaching, and martial arts, every element of our program is built to restore health, resilience, and community.

Victory Through Sacrifice is led by Veterans who have lived the realities of service and its aftermath.

Taylor Katt, a licensed psychotherapist and the founder of Azimuth Therapeutic Services, serves as our President and oversees mental health programming.

Zach McGuffey, our Vice President, is a combat Veteran who spent eight years leading 22 Until Valhalla, an organization devoted to preventing Veteran suicide through outreach, peer support, and purpose-driven events. His commitment to building community and improving access to care is central to the mission of VTS.

Our board reflects the diversity of experience within the communities we serve—it includes another combat Veteran and a former military spouse, each bringing their own insight, leadership, and lived experience to our shared mission. We serve those who have already given so much—and we do it with respect, excellence, and a belief in what’s still possible.
